Living and renting in London means you have an abundance of interesting things to do, right on your doorstep. Battersea is no exception. Located just south of the river in the borough of Wandsworth, Battersea is a popular neighbourhood filled with things to see and do. So whether you want to dine at Brickwood or visit The Four Thieves, here are the top ten things to do in Battersea.

1. Battersea Power Station

One of the essential things to do in Battersea, is to of course go and visit the Battersea Power Station. Once an industrial powerhouse that supplied a fifth of London’s electricity, the Power Station has been transformed into luxury flats and apartments. The area around the power station has been transformed into a riverside village, with bars, restaurants, cinema and a theatre. You could easily spend a day mooching around the area!

2. Battersea Park

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, head to Battersea Park. There’s plenty to see and do, with a riverside promenade, a large lake, ecological areas and sports facilities. In the warmer months the park has a fleet of rowing and pedal boats, each holding up to 5 people. You can also enjoy a fireworks display in the park every November.

Built in the 1980s, this is one of 80 peace pagodas located around the world constructed as part of the same peace project. The pagoda overlooks the river and is  surrounded by trees and green lawns, making it one of the most serene things to do in Battersea.
